Choose The Left is a podcast by Jake Cordova and Erin Hatch. They used to be married, now they’re divorced, and they do a podcast together. Crazy? Sure - a bit! Entertaining though? Oh you betcha! I’ve played a promo for their podcast on mine before, and will be giving them a shout out tomorrow too. Their latest podcast, #16, was just amazing! There’s this bit in the middle, or maybe it’s towards the end, where they start talking about people, relationships, doing stuff for others, love and what that means, all sorts..
It definitely struck a chord with me, and made me wonder about a lot of stuff.. like.. what’s the point and implication of being very open and honest like that on your podcast? can stuff come back to bite you on the ass in the future? is that necessarily a bad thing? what do I think and feel about the stuff they said? *shrugs* food for thought - I’ll be sending them feedback tomorrow and I think there may be a section in my podcast that stems from what they said in theirs. Check back tomorrow for the My World Podcast #47!

They say that laughter is the best medicine, and this definitely helped me work through my sickness the past couple of days. To say it’s “funny as fuck” understates how much I smiled and actually laughed out loud at this page! It’s the kind of group action fun that half intrigues me, half scares me. Check out the page, and read the reports from the “agents”. Maybe I find it really funny cos I like a bit of subversion every now and then (and for the geeks amongst you I mean real world subversion, not the amazingly popular version control system), or maybe it’s because I’ve heard what goes on behind the scenes at a typical Best Buy so I can totally imagine the store management + security being completely freaked out and not knowing what to do.
If you like that kind of stuff, check out their other stunts - I only looked at a couple but they seemed pretty funny too.. and for something similar a bit closer to home, check out the Vancouver Zombie March 2005 - there’s a pool of pics at flickr.com: www.flickr.com/groups/vancouver_zombiewalk_2005/

Wow. I’ll say it again: WOW.
This was on digg.com tonight, and it’s awesome. The track blows me away, I don’t know why - just powerful and emotional and stuff.. but the video? Let’s just say 2500 Polaroid pictures animated together to make a music video is an awesome sight to behold - nuff said!

Shawn left this in comments the other day (instead of emailing or MSNing it to me - tsk tsk!) and I figured I’d post it cos it’s nice to share.. The whole site is pretty cool - gives you in-depth instructions on how to make or do a whole plethora of things. Check it out!

I saw this on slashdot the other day and finally got round to reading it tonight. I got off to a great start then kinda waned a bit towards the end, the TV was distracting me.. but it’s a good essay I think - the guy raises some interesting points.
Check it out, see what you think, leave feedback if you’re motivated to…

Have you heard of Digg? I learnt about it a while ago but haven’t really used it much. It’s like a news / cool site / interesting stuff portal where people submit links to other sites then the Digg population give props to the stuff they like which in turn bumps stuff higher up the popularity/relevance scale.
For a taster, check out diggtop100.blogspot.com which lists the top 100 stories on Digg from 2005. Going through it just now I found quite a few sites that I found cool and interesting.
